Organizations Filed Purposes: The organization is an ethnically diverse collective of professional musicians dedicated to bringing high caliber, affordable and accessible live classical music to people in the Harlem community and beyond.

Cultural/Musical performance - to bring high caliber, affordable and accessible live classical music to people in the Harlem community and beyond. In addition, the organization seeks to build an audience for classical music in general through community and educational outreach, as well as through collaborations with Harlem's other arts organizations, schools and cultural institutions and create opportunities for classically trained minority musicians. During our 2019-20 season we presented 6 in-person concerts for the community at affordable prices-a Season Opening Concert featuring music by Beethoven, Britten and Tchaikovsky; our Annual Bach Concert; a Chamber Music Concert in partnership with Goddard Riverside Community Center; "From the Page to the Stage: An Exploration into How Music Gets Made" at Miller Theatre at Columbia University and in partnership with the Harlem School of the Arts, our Annual Black History Month Celebration, and a second Black History Month Concert at the HSA Theatre in partnership with the Harlem School of the Arts. We also performed in community events at The Forum at Columbia University, the Opening Celebration of the Harlem Renaissance 100, and the Annual BID Holiday Lights Festival. When the coronavirus shut New York City down, we pivoted to online programs. We led a Masterclass and Student Performance, and we presented a Careers in Music Panel as well as an Online Watch Party and Q&A with the musicians who performed the world premiere of Adolphus Hailstork's "Nobody Know," which we had commissioned in 2019 to commemorate 1619, when the first Black slaves were brought to America. Our final online program for the FY2020 season was "Langston and Beethoven | Black and Proud" by Terrance McKnight of WQXR with pianist Kyle Walker featured poetry as spoken word over the music of Beethoven sonatas.
