Organizations Filed Purposes:
HHF is a grassroots, skateboard community-based organization that provides support, opportunity, and advocacy for skateboarders in NYC so they can reach their full potential as skateboarders and as people. The mission is to use skateboarding as a vehicle to provide under-served youth with valuable life experiences that nurture individual creativity, resourcefulness, and the development of life skills.
Legacy Program: Provided on-going psychosocial support and mentorship to a cohort of 60 skateboarders including a series of 10 life skills workshops, weekly group skate sessions, and monthly one-on-one meetings with Coach/Mentors.
Skate Camp: Provided full scholarships to action sports training camp for 23 adolescents and 7 young adults. Scholarships included tuition, equipment, transportation, and spending money.
Harold Hunter Weekend: Convened over 100 professional and amateur skateboarders and enthusiasts from the local and global skateboarding communities for a weekend of exhibitions, skate contests and jams, panel discussions, art shows, and other events
