Organizations Filed Purposes:
To achieve the consistent representation of women and minorities in the cybersecurity indsutry through programs designed to foster recruitment, inclusion and retention - one person at a time. We will 1 Function as a representative body on issues and developments that affect the careers of minority and women cybersecurity professionals, 2 Increase the number of minority and women students pursuing cybersecurity related disciplines at both the undergraduate and post-graduate levels by funding scholarships opportunities, 3 facilitate the certifications in the field of cybersecurity, and 4 Establish a mechanism for gathering and disseminating information for minority and women cybersecurity professionals.
Membership/Sponsorship - United Airlines and Security Innovation teamed up to give security training scholarships to thirty Year Up students and provide full access to their online training platform for students in the greater Chicago area. The scholarship program aligns with ICMCPs mission of achieving consistent representation of women and minorities in cybersecurity through creative, practical programs. With the commitment and support of United Airlines, ICMCP, Year Up, and Security Innovation, this vision can be delivered.
Scholarship Program - ICMCP had it's fourth national conference. It announced scholarships to 8 oustanding winners moving into the challenging field of Cyberscurity.
