Organizations Filed Purposes: The mission of the John V. Lindsay Wildcat Charter School (JVL Wildcat) is to create and maintain a community of learners that strives for individual excellence and success and high personal values. The JVL Wildcat will effectively serve the educational needs of students 15 to 21 years of age in grades 9-12 who are at risk of personal failure due to poor attendance, disruptive behavior, criminal activity and poor academic achievement. Students in grades 9-12 will be served in ungraded classrooms by a staff that is dedicated to continuous professional growth. The staff will maintain high expectations for all students, will foster an educational environment that celebrates the richness and diversity of the human experience and will demonstrate a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of their students through the use of innovative instructional techniques and approaches such as student portfolios, internships, thematic units and instructional technology. 1. We received two federal awards, School Climate Transformation and Mental Health Services Professional Demonstration. The grants provide professional development and support systems focused on trauma, behavior and social emotional learning.2. As determined by the new ESSA guidelines for accountability we received a "school in good standing" rating from the State Education Department.3. We increased our 6 year graduation rate by 3.6%
