Program In Haiti: Throughout 2018, we created and tested a digital library for four countries in the developing world. Library for All's first program country is Haiti, wherein we have been building, and testing a collection of local language books for children since 2013. In 2018, the digital library for Haiti was filled with around 1,000 quality titles from local Haitian publishers and international publishers, available in Haitian Creole, French, English, and Spanish.
PROGRAM IN Rwanda and Democratic Republic Congo
Program in Cambodia: in partnership with the Asia foundation's books for Asia, we launched a pilot of our program in Cambodia in 5 primary schools and 2 libraries. Our Cambodian library contains 50 books in English and 50 in Khmer, sourced from local publishers and NGOS. The pilot demonstrated the potential of digital reading programs to increase access to reading materials across the Asian region, with the right technical and implementation support.
