NESRI works in partnership with U.S. community-based organizations to increase their capacity to build a human rights movement. NESRI focuses on economic and social rights, including education, health, housing and work with dignity.
NESRI supports community partners across the country in their campaigns for their economic and social rights, including education, housing, decent work and healthcare. NESRI also advances a larger vision of public goods, equity, and democracy for all. NESRI launched the New Social Contract initiative promoting community-driven solutions as the foundation for building an alternative social and political system post-2020. The New Social Contract tour was launched in late 2019, with events planned in a dozen localities beginning in 2020. NESRI also released a second report with the National Employment Law Project on a New Social Contract for workers that was endorsed by networks such as Jobs with Justice, Center for Popular Democracy, Peoples Action, and National Domestic Workers Alliance. The New Social Contract for Workers was formally endorsed as well by the Sanders campaign. (Continued Schedule O)
