We continued our social impact campaign arising from our documentary film MILWAUKEE 53206, concluding it in April. Throughout the life of the campaign the film screened over 250 times in faith communities, advocacy and community organizations, and educational institutions throughout the county. The overall goal of the social impact campaign was to raise awareness on the effects of mass incarceration on families and communities. Our social impact campaign arising from our subsidiary, Transform Films, Inc.'s co-produced documentary THE RAPE OF RECY TAYLOR, launched in December 2018. The campaign aims to engage faith communities, advocacy and community organizations, and educational institutions across the country to screen the film and discuss localized calls-to-action. The overall goal of the campaign is to elevate the voices of survivors of color and start a dialogue on the structural racism that disproportionately affects survivors of color. We completed production on Healing the Healers, a new multimedia resource intended to support clergy, laity, social workers, first responders and other spiritual care providers facing community-level trauma. The five-part film series is accompanied by written reflections and discussion guides written by scholars, clergy and other experts. Additionally, NEWTOWN, a documentary we co-produced, won the coveted 2018 Peabody Award, while THE RAPE OF RECY TAYLOR premiered on the pay tv network Starz and Milwaukee 53206 premiered on PBS World Channel's America ReFramed. Another of our documentaries, LESSON FROM A SCHOOL SHOOTING: NOTES FROM DUNBLANE premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival where it won Best Documentary Short. It also won awards for best short at the Sheffield Documentary Festival, the Athens Short Film Festival and the UN Association Film Festival. It was acquired by Netflix and premiered in September 2018.
