NATIONAL JEWELRY INSTITUTE, INC. ("NJI"), FORMED IN 2002, OPERATES AS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION UNDER THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK AND IS EXEMPT FROM FEDERAL INCOME TAXES PURSUANT TO SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE. NJI MAY ENGAGE IN ALL FORMS OF CHARITABLE ACTIVITY WITHIN THE MEANING OF SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE. IT IS PRIMARILY ENGAGED IN PROMOTING AND EXCHANGING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF ISSUES AFFECTING THE COLLECTING OF WORKS OF ART BY MUSEUMS AND PRIVATE INDIVIDUALS, AND SPONSORING EXHIBITS IN VARIOUS MUSEUMS WORLDWIDE.
