Sexual Assault Prevention Program:The Alliance provides education and technical assistance services to all five boroughs of New York City and works closely with rape crisis centers programs statewide, hospitals, District Attorneys Offices, the New York City Police Department, court officials, city leaders and others to develop and implement best practices and policies in the treatment of sexual assault survivors. The Alliance facilitates public education campaigns, provides technical assistance and policy guidance to rape crisis center programs, as well as generates a bi-weekly e-newsletter, which is distributed to over 6,500 people on timely up-dates in the field. By providing technical assistance, the Alliance works to enhance the existing infrastructures at hospitals, organizations and other stakeholders through the facilitation of training on sexual violence intervention and response strategies. Our Policy efforts are directed towards improving systemic responses to survivors of sexual assault and are active on criminal justice, intervention and prevention policy issues.
