PUBLICATION OF THE PARIS REVIEW:IN FISCAL YEAR 2019, THE MOST SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITY OF THE PARIS REVIEW FOUNDATION WAS THE PUBLICATION OF FOUR ISSUES OF THE PARIS REVIEW, EACH OF WHICH REACHED AN AVERAGE OF 23,556 SUBSCRIBERS AND PURCHASERS OF SINGLE ISSUES.THE FOUR ISSUES PUBLISHED IN FISCAL 2019 INCLUDED THE PARIS REVIEW NO. 227, THE PARIS REVIEW NO. 228, THE PARIS REVIEW NO. 229 AND THE PARIS REVIEW NO. 230. EACH ISSUE OF THE MAGAZINE PUBLISHED DURING FISCAL 2019 INCLUDES A COMBINATION OF FICTION, POETRY, NONFICTION, VISUAL ART AND INTERVIEWS WITH PROMINENT WRITERS.
WEB ACTIVITIES:ON SEPTEMBER 15, 2010, THE PARIS REVIEW FOUNDATION RELAUNCHED ITS WEB SITE. THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEB SITE ARE ONLINE ACCESS TO THE ENTIRE ARCHIVES OF THE PARIS REVIEW INTERVIEWS AND A FREE BLOG, THE DAILY, AS WELL AS AN ONLINE STORE WHERE WE ADVERTISE AND SELL SUBSCRIPTIONS, BACK ISSUES AND MERCHANDISE. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2019, THE SITE OVERALL RECEIVED 14,089,745 PAGE VIEWS AND 7,078,358 UNIQUE VISITORS, WHILE THE DAILY RECEIVED 9,760,054 PAGE VIEWS. THE DAILY IS UPDATED TWO TO THREE TIMES A DAY.
EVENTS:IN FISCAL YEAR 2019, THE PARIS REVIEW FOUNDATION HELD FOURTEEN EVENTS TO PROMOTE READERSHIP AND EDUCATION. OF THESE, THREE EVENTS WERE TO PROMOTE NEW ISSUES OF THE PARIS REVIEW EACH QUARTER. THERE WAS ALSO A COHOSTED EVENT TO CELEBRATE THE PORTFOLIO IN THE WINTER ISSUE. ANOTHER EVENT PROMOTED THE LAUNCH OF A NEW PARIS REVIEW EDITIONS ANDTHOLOGY OF INTERVIEWS WITH INTERNATIONAL FICTION WRITERS. THE REVIEW CELEBRATED NATIONAL POETRY MONTH WITH AN EVENT AT 92Y FEATURING THE YEAR'S FOUR GUEST POETRY EDITORS AND SOME OF THEIR SELECTIONS FOR THE MAGAZINE. ANOTHER POETRY EVENT BROUGHT TO LIFE A POPULAR ONLINE COLUMN FOCUSING ON POETRY AS A SALVE. OTHER EVENTS CELEBRATED THE LAUNCH OF OUR POPULAR PODCAST'S SECOND SEASON. THE REMAINING EVENTS PROMOTED UNDERREPRESENTED WRITERS AND ARTISTS AND PROVIDED DIRECT EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING, INCLUDING A BOOK LAUNCH FOR ISABELLA HAMMAD AND SEMINARS BY THE EDITOR, WEB EDITOR, AND MANAGING EDITOR.
