Organizations Filed Purposes: PARTNERSHIP WITH CHILDREN PROVIDES MENTAL HEALTH AND SOCIAL WORK SERVICES IN SCHOOLS ACROSS NEW YORK CITY, AS WELL AS MANAGES COMMUNITY SCHOOL PROGRAMS AND TEAMS IN 12 SCHOOLS. WE ENSURE THAT SCHOOLS ARE SAFE, SUPPORTIVE, AND CONDUCIVE TO LEARNING FOR ALL STUDENTS.

PROVIDING SCHOOL-BASED SERVICES TO STRENGTHEN STUDENTS' EMOTIONAL, SOCIAL AND COGNITIVE SKILLS.

COMMUNITY SCHOOLS:FOLLOWING THE NATIONAL COMMUNITY SCHOOL STRATEGY, PARTNERSHIP WITH CHILDREN PLACES FULL-TIME STAFF IN SCHOOLS TO BUILD PARTNERSHIPS BETWEEN SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES; AND INTEGRATE ACADEMICS, HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES, AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT. OUR COMMUNITY SCHOOL PROGRAM INCLUDES OUR CORE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SUPPORTS (INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING, SMALL GROUP COUNSELING AND TRAUMA-INFORMED CARE) IN EACH OF OUR 12 COMMUNITY SCHOOLS. PWC IS AMONG THE BIGGEST PROVIDER ORGANIZATIONS IN THE NYC INITIATIVE. WE EXPANDED SERVICES, STRENGTHENED OUR RELATIONSHIPS WITH SCHOOLS, AND SUPPORTED OUR COMMUNITIES AT EVERY TURN DURING AND AFTER THE PANDEMIC SHUTDOWNS.

COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL-BASED MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES:WE PLACE MASTERS-LEVEL CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKERS FULL-TIME INTO 16 PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN NYC'S MOST UNDER-RESOURCED COMMUNITIES. OUR STAFF PROVIDE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, INCLUDING INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP COUNSELING, CLASSROOM INTERVENTIONS, CASE MANAGEMENT, AND HOME VISITS. OUR WORK IS GROUNDED IN SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING (SEL), TRAUMA-INFORMED CARE, AND NEUROSCIENCE. OUR PROGRAMS INCREASE STUDENT WELLNESS, ATTENDANCE, ON-TASK BEHAVIOR, AND ACHIEVEMENT LEVELS; IMPROVE TEACHERS' CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT; AND ENGAGE PARENTS AND FAMILIES. WE HAVE PROVIDED THESE SERVICES REMOTELY AND IN-PERSON DURING THE PANDEMIC, ENSURING CONTINUITY AND ENHANCED SUPPORTS THAT HAVE BEEN NEEDED.

OUT-OF-SCHOOL-TIME PROGRAMS:PARTNERSHIP WITH CHILDREN RUNS OUT-OF-SCHOOL TIME (OST) PROGRAMS TO INCREASE STUDENT ENGAGEMENT AND SCHOOL CONNECTEDNESS, INCREASE SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL SKILLS, INCREASE COLLEGE READINESS, AND IMPROVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH PEERS AND ADULTS. WE DIRECT AFTER-SCHOOL, SUMMER AND 21ST CENTURY COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTER PROGRAMS AT SEVEN SCHOOLS WHERE WE ALSO PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAMMING DURING THE SCHOOL DAY, EXTENDING STUDENTS' SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING OUTSIDE THE TRADITIONAL SCHOOL DAY AND CLASSROOM SETTING.
