The Philippine Independence Day Council, Inc. (PIDCI) is an umbrella organization of Filipino American associationns based on the East Coast. It is principally dedicated to promoting history, the cultural heritage and traditions of the Filipino people through the annual celebration of Philippine Independence Day.
The Philippine Independence Day Council, Inc. (PIDCI) with its members of Filipino American organizations have celebrated the 118th Commemoration of the Philippine Independence through an all-day parade, cultural show and street fair in New York City that showcase the sounds and spectacle of participating contigents, and the discovery of an array of Filipino musical and performing arts talents. It is considered the largest Philippine Independence Day celebration outside the Philippines.
PIDCI with its member organizations have planned, designed and prepared for an all-day parade, cultural show and street fair along Madison Avenue of New York City to celebrate the 118th Commemoration of Philippine Independence Day on June 2, 2019. The celebration was participated by community leaders and over 100 contingents from the Tri-State area, showcasing various Philippine Regional cultural sounds, dances and colorful costumes of participating contigents during the parade. The street fair offered a variety of Filipino foods and delicacies to guests, attendees and the public. The Cultural Show showcased talented artists and Philippine music.
