Organizations Filed Purposes: Vision: We believe that an unbridled imagination is a force of magic with the power to provoke a more courageous and compassionate world.Mission: Pipeline makes theater of the imagination. Our company thrives on adventure and believes no story is worth telling without a little risk. We love our villains as much as our heroes, especially in those puzzling moments when we cant quite tell them apart. Above all, we aim to leave you with stories that stick somewhere in your heart, your brain, or your guts.

Pipeline's plan to produce a two-week new works festival called PlayFest in June 2020 was unfortunately derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic. We were able to continue, in limited fashion, with our inaugural PlaySpace class, which focuses on developing mid-process plays that require different and more active support than a traditional table-reading workshop model. Our PlaySpace projects included Mar Hwa Wei's ELIXIR, and Kareem Lucas' RATED BLACK, and Shara Feit's LITTLE LIVES. All three of these plays continued development virtually into FY21 due to COVID-19.

Pipeline also continued with our annual PlayLab, developing the new plays of seven writers from inception to first draft: Nissy Aya, Andy Boyd, Zora Howard, Molly Beach Murphy, Erica Mann, Utkarsh Rajawat, and Ran Xia. We held monthly meetings and two Springboards - our final Springboard and reading series (slated to be part of PlayFest) were cancelled due to COVID-19.

We produced an in-house workshop of Kairos Looney's HOUSE OF TELESCOPES in January 2020 - a play that began in our PlayLab that we're thrilled to continue to develop. A public reading or workshop presentation was slated to be part of the cancelled PlayFest.
