EDUCATIONWe believe that the responsibility for ending sepsis belongs to all of usand that young people have an especially critical role to play. The Rory Staunton Foundation for Sepsis Prevention has developed the first comprehensive K-12 sepsis curriculum to progressively educate school students about infection and sepsis and to equip them to become effective advocates in their communities. Our goal is to reduce instances of infection and ensure that every young person knows the signs of sepsis.THE NATIONAL FAMILY COUNCIL ON SEPSISThe National Family Council on Sepsis is a network of families that have lost a loved to sepsis and sepsis survivors. Established in 2015, by the Rory Staunton Foundation the Council works at the federal, state, and local levels to support the mission of End Sepsis. Through its passion and commitment to driving real change, the Council has become the leading force in the fight to end preventable deaths and disabilities from sepsis.
Each year, the Rory Staunton Foundation for Sepsis Prevention hosts the National Forum on Sepsis featuring the best and the brightest in healthcare policy, government, critical care, patient advocacy, and biotechnology to identify and address challenges and opportunities in the sepsis crisis. The Forum provides an opportunity to discuss progress and forge new commitments, and build strong coalitions as we work to reduce the burden of sepsis on our society and our families.
