Russian children with rare, often deadly, diseases have no one to turn to for help. They are endangered. RACF helps make a miracle happen for these children. RACF helps them get the groundbreaking American medical care that will change their lives forever. Rare diseases affect a small percentage of the population making treatment options very limited, especially in Russia. About 30% of children with rare diseases die before the age of five. RACF saves these childrens lives by providing the advanced medical care they need. Children who would be disabled, now function as other typically developing boys and girls. Children facing death now live. Families are forever grateful because their children have new lives through RACFs life changing and lifesaving programs.
The Russian American Childrens Foundation (RACF), founded in 2012 as Rusfond USA, is a U.S. based childrens charity established to help Russian children with rare, often deadly, diseases before it's too late.
Upon acceptance of a Russian child (patient) to a US hospital, RACF will help provide for the cost of bringing the child and his or her parent or guardian from Russia to the United States, will meet the child upon entry to the US, will arrange housing in the US as well as transportation to the hospital or treatment facility. In addition, will raise funds to cover the costs of transportation, food, housing, medical evaluation and testing, hospitalization, and other medical services needed to treat the child's rare, possibly deadly, condition.
