TO INSPIRE A GLOBAL COMMUNITY WITH CLASSICAL MUSIC. THE FOUNDATION ACTIVELY PRESENTS CONCERTS, MASTER CLASSES AND EDUCATIONAL AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS FEATURING OUTSTANDING MUSICIANS OF ALL AGES.

CONCERTS: I. CLASSICALLY LEONIA -TO ADVANCE ITS MISSION TO MAKE LIVE CLASSICAL MUSIC AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE, THIS LIVE CONCERT SERIES CO-PRESENTED WITH LEONIA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH IN LEONIA, NJ IS FREE TO THE PUBLIC. THE SERIES REMOVES BARRIERS THAT MIGHT PREVENT RESIDENTS FROM BEGINNING OR DEEPENING THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH LIVE CLASSICAL MUSIC. II. SI-YO PRESENTS -WE PROVIDE MEANINGFUL INTERNATIONAL PERFORMANCE AND TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES TO SI-YO ARTISTS, GUEST MUSICIANS, AND ASPIRING MUSICIANS CONCERTS IN VENUES SUCH AS LINCOLN CENTER AND CARNEGIE HALL AS WELL AS PERFORMANCES IN NON-TRADITIONAL SPACES FOR SPECIAL AUDIENCES. III. SI-YO GUEST ARTIST SERIES -FOR CAREFULLY SELECTED ARTISTS OF SIGNIFICANT ARTISTIC MERIT WHO ARE NOT SI-YO ARTISTS: OCCASIONALLY, WE WILL PRODUCE A CONCERT FOR GUEST ARTISTS BY PROVIDING EVENT PLANNING/EXECUTION SERVICES SUCH AS VENUE BOOKING, LOGISTICAL MANAGEMENT, AND EVENT PROMOTION.

OUTREACH: A. NURSING HOMES AND SENIOR RESIDENCES -TO ENSURE THAT ANYONE CAN ENJOY THE PERFORMING ARTS, OUR ARTISTS HAVE GIVEN PERFORMANCES IN NON-TRADITIONAL WAYS, INCLUDING TRAVELING TO SENIOR RESIDENCES TO PERFORM AND USING TELECONFERENCING DEVICES OR THE PHONE TO PERFORM REMOTELY FOR THE ELDERLY. B. POWER OF PONDERING/ "TREE GIRL" -FOR CHILDREN AGES 8 TO 13, THIS EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH SERIES COMBINES ORIGINAL MUSICAL PERFORMANCE WITH SPOKEN WORD. IT AIMS TO HAVE MUSIC SPARK THE ACT OF PONDERING TO EXPAND THEIR IMAGINATION, EMPATHY, AND APPRECIATION OF THEIR SURROUNDINGS. THE INITIAL PROGRAM IS BASED ON T.A. BARRON'S CHILDREN'S BOOK "TREE GIRL." C. HAO LIU PATERSON CONCERT - SI-YO MUSIC PRESENTED SI-YO YOUNG ARTIST HAO LIU, PROVIDED A FREE CONCERT OF CLASSICAL PIANO MUSIC TO APPROXIMATELY 300 PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THE PATERSON PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM. HAO LIU IS BLIND FROM BIRTH AND HIS MOVING AND ACCOMPLISHED PERFORMANCE ILLUSTRATES BOTH THE POWER OF MUSIC TO REACH PEOPLE IN HARDSHIP AND ITS INSPIRATIONAL NATURE. D. SY MPP - THIS PROGRAM, DEVELOPED IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, UNITES PERFORMERS AND AT-RISK AUDIENCES IN LIVE VIRTUAL CLASSICAL MUSIC PERFORMANCES COUPLED WITH CONVERSATIONS AND LECTURES, BRINGING PERSONAL ATTENTION AND ARTISTRY TO THOSE MOST AFFECTED BY THE PANDEMIC - THE ELDERLY AND THOSE IN QUARANTINE OR ISOLATION. SI-YO MUSIC HAS PARTNERED WITH A NUMBER OF SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS AND SENIOR CENTERS TO REACH VULNERABLE POPULATIONS WITH THE CONSOLING POWER OF MUSIC AND LIVE COMMUNICATION WITH ARTISTS. E. SY MMB - ANOTHER OF SI-YO MUSIC'S RESPONSES TO COVID-19, THIS PROGRAM SHARES MUSIC RECORDED BY SI-YO ARTISTS WITH A BROADER COMMUNITY THROUGH EMAIL AND SOCIAL MEDIA, TO BRING A RESPITE OF BEAUTY TO ALL. F. SY DBC - SI-YO MUSIC DEVELOPED THIS PROGRAM TO CREATE NEW RECORDINGS AND ENABLE SI-YO ARTISTS TO EXPERIENCE THE COMMUNITY OF PERFORMANCE DURING LOCK-DOWN. BECAUSE LIVE PERFORMANCES ARE CANCELLED AND ARTISTS CANNOT FREELY PERFORM TOGETHER, SI-YO MUSIC ESTABLISHED ITS DISTANCED BUT CONNECTED SERIES OF RECORDED PERFORMANCES, WHERE ARTISTS EACH RECORDED THEMSELVES IN PRE-ARRANGED PERFORMANCES, AND THE VARIOUS RECORDINGS WERE EDITED TOGETHER TO CREATE A SINGLE GROUP PERFORMANCE, ALLOWING THE PERFORMERS TO EXPERIENCE A LITTLE OF THE JOY IN A COMMUNITY OF ARTISTS THAT COMES FROM PERFORMING TOGETHER.

ARTIST SUPPORT FUND: A. SCHOLARSHIPS -THESE SUPPORT SI-YO ARTISTS' EDUCATIONAL EXPENSESSUCH AS TUITION AND ROOM AND BOARD. B. GRANTS -THESE SUPPORT SI-YO ARTISTS' PERSONAL PROJECTS OF APPROVED ARTISTIC MERIT (SUCH AS THE COMMISSIONING OF MUSIC, PARTICIPATION IN COMPETITIONS, AND ARCHIVAL RECORDS), COVERING PROFESSIONAL EXPENSES SUCH AS RECORDING MATERIALS AND TRAVEL EXPENSES. C. EMERGENCY GRANTS (NEW GRANT CATEGORY ADDED IN MARCH 2020)-THESE HELP TO OFFSET WAGES THAT SI-YO ARTISTS HAVE LOST DUE TO EMERGENCY CIRCUMSTANCES, SUCH AS THE CANCELLATION OF CONCERTS DUE TO THE COVID-19 SHUTDOWN. D. SI-YO ARTIST PROGRAM - SUPPORTING SI-YO ARTISTS' ACTIVITIES BY SHARING THEIR NEWS IN AN ARTIST NEWSLETTER AND ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS, AND BY OFFERING OPPORTUNITIES FOR SI-YO ARTISTS TO COLLABORATE ON LIVE OR RECORDED PROJECTS.
