Organizations Filed Purposes: PUBLICATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF AN EDUCATONAL MAGAZINE AND WEBSITE "TRICYCLE", WHICH EQUATES AND ILLUSTRATES TO ITS READERS THE VARIOUS SUBJECTS OF THE BUDDHIST RELIGION AND CULTURE.

In fiscal 2019, the Tricycle Foundation launched exciting new initiatives. Fresh offerings included "For the Moment: Short Teachings for Relief & Resilience," a weekly podcast, and a series of free livestream teachings that provided support and encouragement to our constituents through the Covid-19 pandemic. Surpassing expectations, the latter effort reached far beyond Tricycles readership, driving robust subscription sales, online course registrations, and donations. Adding to the Foundations programming successes, BuddhaFest, Tricycle's online film-festival partnership relaunched in 2019, drew record attendance in 2020.A full publishing staff and a focused marketing effort led the Foundation to unprecedented growth and a record surplus. New content-distribution efforts included Three Teachings, a weekly newsletter launched in July, and paid social-media advertising that targeted new audiences and boosted conversion rates. With its onsite-optimization partner, the Foundation continued aggressive A/B testing across tricycle.org. And with an eye to reaching younger readers, the Foundation began offering students a 50% discount on digital subscriptions to Tricycle. In the coming year, Tricycle hopes to establish more direct contact with its support base and general readership. To that end, the Foundation implemented new development software that has streamlined fundraising and community outreach efforts. With a focus on service, Tricycle did its best to support its audience through a particularly challenging year. Generous reader response and support made fiscal 2019 one of its most successful years.
