"WELLINGTON KOO THE DIPLOMAT: A LIFE IN SONG" CONCERT IN COLLABORATION WITH THE US-CHINA MUSIC INSTITUTE OF THE BARD COLLEGE CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC, USCCI PRESENTED A MULTIMEDIA CONCERT PAINTS A MUSICAL PORTRAIT OF CHINESE DIPLOMAT WELLINGTON KOO'S LIFE WITH IMAGES AND LIVE PERFORMANCES BY WORLD RENOWNED MUSICIANS, INCLUDING USCCI-AFFILIATED BROADWAY STAR LUOYONG WANG AND DIRECTOR SHERWOOD HU; USCCI ARTISTS SOPRANO YING HUANG, BASS-BARITONE SHENYANG, VIOLINIST DAN ZHU, AND PIANIST NIU NIU SHENGLIANG, WITH A WORLD PREMIERE ENSEMBLE PIECE BY USCCI COMPOSER PENG-PENG GONG, AT THE ZANKEL HALL OF CARNEGIE HALL IN NEW YORK CITY ON SEPTEMBER 30.

KUNQU LECTURE/DEMOON NOVEMBER 3, USCCI KUNQU ARTIST ZHANG JUN AND THE NATIONAL DANCE INSTITUTE TEAM MEMBERS FROM NEW YORK GAVE WORKSHOPS AND SHARED THEIR EXPERIENCES AND REFLECTIONS ON ART EDUCATION TO OVER ONE HUNDRED PARTICIPANTS, INCLUDING PRINCIPALS FROM NEARLY 50 LOCAL SCHOOLS, AT THE JING'AN DISTRICT CULTURE CENTER IN SHANGHAI.
