Organizations Filed Purposes:
(a) Providing a licensure-qualifying program in psychoanalysis; (b) providing instruction and/or experience in psychoanalysis to psychiatrists, to psychologists who are licensed or otherwise authorized to practice psychology, and providing instruction and/or experience in psychoanalysis to licensed master social workers, licensed clinical social workers, and all other professionals licensed under Title VIII of the NYS Education Law and authorized to provide psychoanalysis as part of their scopes of practice, and (c) in furtherance of such instruction and/or experience, providing psychoanalysis and psychotherapy to members of the public by members of those professions authorized to provide such services under Title VIII of the Education Law; and (d) teaching psychology and/or psychoanalytic concepts as may be appropriate to their respective disciplines, to psychologists, social workers, mental health practitioners, teachers, clergy, and special research students.

Clinical services - Served by highly skilled clinicians, provides affordable services to members of the community. Initially, services were offered to adults seeking psychotherapy and psychoanalysis; it has since expanded to include children, adolescents and their families.
Psychoanalytic Training - The program of post-doctoral training in psychoanalysis is open to qualified psychiatrists, psychologist, social workers, and other professionals seeking rigorous training in the concepts and methods of psychoanalytic treatment.
Child and adolescent psychotherapy training - This innovative program combines course work with supervised clinical experience, personal growth, mentorship and opportunities for community involvement and observation. It is designed to provide comprehensive preparation for treating young people from infancy through late adolescence. The program integrates an interpersonal perspective on theory and treatment techniques with ideas from the classical and relational schools. Course work focuses on understanding the internal world of the child in relation to the family, school and culture and also addresses the gamut of contemporary issues including abuse, adoption, attention deficit disorder, divorce and learning disabilities.
