Create Original Theatre Pieces at LA MAMA Theater in NY as well as concerts, poetry, art and music events and film screenings at Cambridge, Hunter College, Theatre for the New City, Columbia, Harvard, Ukrainian Museum in NY and also in Ukraine, Austria, France and Japan.
Opera Gaz / Slap! Yara Arts Group researched, developed and created original thatre piece and related special events at La MaMa Theatre in New York, franko Theatre in Kyiv, and in Vienna, as well as at the Theatre for the New City, Ukrainian Museum in NY, Bowery Poetry Club. These events were supported by the New York State Council on the Arts, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, the Self-Reliance Foundation, Schwab Charitable Funds, Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, Renaissance Charitable Foundation, as well as our individual donors.
The Comet and the Sword or Shanks Mare / Tomte Yara Arts Group researched, developed and performed original theatre pieces with puppets at La MaMa Theatre, Hunter College, Art Institute in Chicago and Museum of Quai Branley in Paris. These events were supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and Adobe Corporation.
Koliada Winter Songs / Winter Songs on Mars / Kurbas: New Worlds / Zhadan & Friends Yara Arts Group created and presented music, art and poetry events for La MaMa Theatre and Ukrainian Museum in New York, the Hudson River Musuem in Yonkers, the Ukrainian Educational & Cultural Centers in Jenkintown PA and Whippany, NJ at Harvard, Columbia, and Hunter College. These events were supported by the New York State Council on the Arts, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, the Ukrainian Community Foundation, Self Reliance Foundation and local business.
