Organizations Filed Purposes:
The Rockland County Pride Center is an LGBT organization with an anti-racist, social justice mission. It owns & manages a safe space in Nyack, NY to provide support services & resources to the LGBT & allied community.
Support Services to the LGBTQ community continued to increase in 2019, Our Pride Ctr. offered 9 monthly support groups, Pride Sunday event, & other free or low cost community events. Our LGBTQ Youth Prog. served 50 individuals per week. We provided nutrition support for youth, healthcare advocacy and policy change.
The Rockland County Pride Center continued its training program. In 2019, we trained over 875 professionals in the medical, education, legal, government, & social service fields to be more LGBTQ affirming. We also published a Directory of LGBTQ friendly businesses, services, & community organizations.
