Spiritual Encouragement Services; Take Heart trains and equips local leaders to consistently visit Christians in their community to pray with them, encourage them, and have fellowship with them. This includes bi-monthly visits for prayers and sharing the Bible, regular spiritual days at the local churches, annual three-day spiritual retreats, home visits, summer activities, and enhancing the relationship between churches and its congregation by bringing a new generation into the churchs fold.Spiritual Leadership; Take Heart finds, trains, and equips leaders within a community who can step up to spiritually encourage their neighbors and address specific needs. Leaders are identified by partnering with the local churches who nominate a list of men and women they think would make good leaders. Take Heart holds regular meetings with local leaders to follow up on their progress and one- or two-yearly retreats for local leaders to encourage and empower them. Recently, Ignite Academy was launched in Syria and Iraq to establish a second line of leaders to equip them with the tools to lead the next generation as well as become empowered to be personally resilient. The mental and emotional effects of persecution are ongoing and often extreme. Take Heart ensures post-traumatic counseling and life coaching are given to those in need.Technical Equipping Service: Take Heart equips national leaders through organizational development training to lead their communities and churches. Take Heart implements a five-year partnership with each established program while mentoring, monitoring and evaluating progress. Take Heart comes alongside communities fruing their tauma, persectuion or/and displacement. On a case-by-case basis, Take Heart helps rebuild what was lost through a developmental approach. Ignite Academy; it is an academy for the youth who are deprived from soft skills trainings and Take Heart leaders see hope in them to be the future leaders. This six-semester course equips students to become leaders and disciples in their communities. Students learn important life skills such as understanding their purpose in life, peace and conflict resolution, and teaching effectively. Student are also trained to provide this training to others.Financial support Services: Take Heart provides grants to local leaders working to fund micro-loans for those in need of an income who are capable of launching a small business. Take Heart through partners assesses the financial status of the served families and supports those who are most in need with an income-generating activity. Activities could be small such as selling chicken and ducks, the making of shoes with a sewing machine, or using a photocopy machine. Medium-sized activities include businesses such as buying a cow for a family or providing local shipping services. Finally, our large size mega projects are designed to employ a large number of the community, especially women who cannot have their own individual projects and include businesses such as candle factory, sewing projects, and catering projects. Follow-up assessments are conducted with the field team regarding project results on a quarterly basis to determine the extent of success. Also Take Heart works on establishing medical services that are accessible as they are few and far in between for the poorest persecuted Christians. Take Heart Helps launch medical clinics to serve entire communities, regardless of a persons religion. Our regular bi-monthly meeting include medical education and awareness. As we care for people, Egypt is very poor and does not have access to medical assistance. Take Heart partners with the community, represented by the local church, to build a clinic based on their needs. For example, Egypt has one of the largest Hepatitis epidemics in the world, so Take Heart has funded several clinics with a special department to address the disease. Medical clinics in areas with high rates of persecution are based on three strategies: 1) To provide access to primary medical care to persecuted Christians, 2) Serve the entire community to help build harmony and reduce sectarian violence, and 3) Help Christians working in the clinic to demonstrate their faith and love for others in a country where they are not allowed to express it. Take Hearts clinics also provide medical education for the community such as prenatal and postpartum education. At the end of each quarter, Take Heart evaluates the effectiveness of the program by the number of people treated in the clinic and conducting family visits.
