Organizations Filed Purposes: To promote interest in and to study ideas relating to human development within their community.

Study: Discussion Groups relating ideas, practices of G.I. Gurdjieff, current research in the field of human development, plus members' individual explorations and efforts, for the betterment of themselves and the world. Dance: Movements Classes engaging participants in precise exercises of multiple rhythms, positions, tempos while practicing attention can harmonize various energies in the body and lead to deeper understanding of oneself and others. (Continued on Schedule O)Sitting-Meditation: Progressive training in mindfulness to cultivate attention and active awareness in all aspects of one's life. Giving one's full attention to the task at hand can result in clearer, more effective, compassionate response to the world. Workdays are a full-day program incorporating a variety of activities relating to a general theme. They begin with a guided sitting-meditation to establish the attention to be practiced during the day. Members divide into teams to learn and practice crafts and skills, such as woodworking, writing, computer-graphics, drama, photography, print-making, building construction and maintenance, nature study, music, cooking, sewing, weaving, and fabric art. There is an opportunity for people to ask questions and bring their work of the day plus group discussion relating to the theme. The day ends with a program prepared by the music team.Seminars occurred until the COVID outbreak. They are similar to workdays but last anywhere from a weekend to a full week. Post COVID, Stillwood is no longer have any in-person meetings or events until it is safe to do so. This includes group meetings, seminars, workshops and movements.Outreach Activities: Stillwood offers education programs and activities for children and adults. These programs are designed for non-members and intended to cover subjects not addressed by other area organizations. Stillwood presents classes such as: art for children (craft, cartooning, drawing, sculpting), story-telling, bread-making, origami, knitting, jewelry-making and interior design. The Center also presents harpsichord and piano concerts; photographic exhibits and slide shows. Stillwood has published two children's books, written and illustrated by members, plus two books for adults. The Center presents talks, readings, study groups and workshops to the public introducing Stillwood and ideas of G.I. Gurdjieff.The Center presents talks, readings, study groups and workshops open to the public, to introduce Stillwood and the ideas of G.I. Gurdjieff. Post COVID, Stillwood no longer have any in-person outreach programs until it is safe to do so.
