Sponsored scientific research regarding wine and grape products. Conducted in regional, national and international events to promote New York State wine and grape products. Conducted cooperative advertising programs with member wineries to promote New York State.

Promotion Program - The Foundation promotes all New York State grapes and wines through the weekly e-newsletter, The Press Deck, as well as on the website, and social media platforms. A cooperative promotions program encourages wineries to enter into competitions, by providing a reduced rate on entry fees. In an effort to increase tourism to the wineries in New York, the regional wine trail program assists the regional groups in New York with marketing expenses and other promotional expenses. Participation in trade shows both domestically and internationally to increase the New York brand is also part of the promotion strategy.
Research Program - The Foundation supports research projects that provide information and statistics that are critical to the improvement of the New York wine and grape industry. The focus of the projects are predominantly viticulture and enology, along with other studies that are on the leading edge of the industry's interest.
