CATHOLIC CHARITIES COMMUNITY SERVICES OF DUTCHESS, INC. IS A RESOURCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS OFFERING A WIDE ARRAY OF FREE AND PROFESSIONALLY ADMINISTERED DIRECT SERVICES TO COUNTY RESIDENTS AT OUR MAIN OFFICE IN DOWNTOWN POUGHKEEPSIE AND THROUGHOUT ALL OF DUTCHESS COUNTY. WE OFFER ASSISTANCE WITH CASE MANAGEMENT, INCLUDING A BROAD ARRAY OF PROGRAMS IN EVICTION PREVENTION, SUPPORT GROUPS FOR RURAL IMMIGRANT WOMEN, SUPPORT GROUPS FOR THE DEAF COMMUNITY, EMERGENCY FOOD SUPPORT, FREE TAX PREPARATION SERVICES, CYO YOUTH RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS AND MANY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES.

CASE MANAGEMENT:CASE MANAGEMENT INCLUDES A BROAD ARRAY OF PROGRAMS DEALING WITH HOMELESS, EMPLOYMENT, EMERGENCY FOOD SUPPORT, CRISIS SERVICES AND PARISHES.- $56,566 IN EMERGENCY RELIEF WAS USED TO ASSIST NEEDY FAMILIES BY PREVENTING EVICTIONS, STOPPING UTILITY SHUT OFFS AND OTHER EMERGENCIES;- 202 HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVED COMPREHENSIVE CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES;- 1,154 HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVED INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SERVICES;- 409 INDIVIDUALS WERE PROVIDED WITH GIFTS DURING CHRISTMAS THROUGH THE GENEROSITY OF PARISH AND COMMUNITY DONORS;- 1,179 VOLUNTEER HOURS WERE GIVEN THROUGHOUT THE YEAR;- 52 WOMEN PARTICIPATED IN KINSHIP CIRCLES SUPPORT GROUPS FOR RURAL IMMIGRANT WOMEN.- 324 IMMIGRANTS IN DUTCHESS COUNTY RECEIVED INDIVIDUAL CONSULTATIONS WITH LEGAL STAFF RESULTING IN 133 NEW IMMIGRATION CASES. MOREOVER, 116 ADDITIONAL SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO EXISTING CLIENTS. THESE NUMBERS INCLUDE CONSULTATIONS AT COMMUNITY CLINICS, AS WELL AS CONSULTATIONS, CASES AND ADDITIONAL SERVICES PROVIDED BY OUR PARALEGALS, IJC FELLOWS AND A STAFF ATTORNEY AT THE POUGHKEEPSIE OFFICE;- 470 DUTCHESS COUNTY RESIDENTS RECEIVED LEGAL SERVICES FROM IMMIGRATION LEGAL SERVICES STAFF (INCLUDES CONSULTATIONS, NEW CASES AND ADDITIONAL SERVICES ON EXISTING CASES).

THE DEAF CENTER:THE DEAF CENTER PROVIDES EDUCATION AND REHABILIATION PROGRAM SERVICES TO HEARING-IMPAIRED INDIVIDUALS. SERVICES ARE OFFERED IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH. - 454 SUPPORT ACTIVITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES WERE PROVIDED FOR THE DEAF AND HARD-OF-HEARING;- 38 BLIND AND VISUALLY HANDICAPPED CLIENTS RECEIVED SERVICES.

IMMIGRATION:IMMIGRATION REPRESENTS SERVICES DESIGNED TO PROVIDE DIRECT REPRESENTATION IN ADMINISTRATIVE INTERVIEWS, HEARINGS, AND COURT PROCEEDINGS BEFORE IMMIGRATION COURTS AND OTHER FEDERAL AND STATE TRIBUNALS.
