IN FLIGHT, INC. PROVIDES SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITES WITHIN DUTCHESS, ULSTER, COLUMBIA AND GREENE COUNTIES. THE NEEDS WE ADDRESS INCLUDE SERVICE COORDINATION, RESIDENTIAL HABILITATION, DAY HABILITATION, AND RESPITE SERVICES AND ARE PROVIDED FOR AT AN INDIVIDUAL'S HOME OR AT A GROUP HOME. OUR GOALS ARE TO PROMOTE INDIVIDUALIZED OUTCOMES THAT DO THE FOLLOWING: 1. MAXIMIZE THE DEVELOPMENT OF SKILLS AND BEHAVIOR NECESSARY TO BE A PARTICIPATING MEMBER OF THE INDIVIDUAL'S HOME AND COMMUNITY, INCLUDING CONSIDERATION OF LIFELONG PLANNING. 2. INCLUDE ACTIVITIES RELEVANT TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF SELF AND SELF-AWARENESS AS WELL AS THE PROCESS OF DEVELOPING MEANINGFUL PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE DISABLED AND NON-DISABLED. 3. INVOLVE AGE APPROPRIATE ACTIVITIES. 4. ENABLE THE INDIVIDUAL TO EXPERIENCE VALUED ADULT ROLES IN THE COMMUNITY. 5. REDUCE DEPENDENCIES. 6. PROVIDE SERVICES IN A SETTING WHERE SKILLS ARE EXPECTED TO BE USED, BASED ON AN INDIVIDUAL'S C
IN FLIGHT, INC. PROVIDES SERVICES TO EMPOWER PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES TO ACHIEVE THEIR LIFE GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS IN ORDER TO LEAD RICHER AND FULLER LIVES.
INDIVIDUAL RESIDENTIAL ALTERNATIVE HOMES: IN FLIGHT OFFERS ADULTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES THE OPPORTUNITY TO LIVE IN INDIVIDUAL OR SMALL-GROUP LIVING ARRANGEMENTS IN THE COMMUNITY. THE RESIDENCES PROVIDE A HOME-LIKE ENVIRONMENT FOR OUR CLIENTS, SO THEY MAY BE HELPED TO EXPERIENCE LIVING INDEPENDENTLY, MAKING MEANINGFUL CHOICES, COMMUNICATE FREELY AND RECEIVE EFFECTIVE SERVICES.
DAY HABILITATION SERVICES PROVIDED TO CONSUMERS: IN FLIGHT PROVIDES, IN A LARGE GROUP SETTING, A COMBINATION OF SERVICES TO DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED ADULTS WHOSE FUNCTIONAL BEHAVIOR DEFECTS LIMIT THEIR ABILITY TO FUNCTION INDEPENDENTLY.
RESIDENTIAL HABILITATION SERVICES: This program provides supervised services with staff on-site or available at all times, within proximity, when the individuals are present. This service assists the individual with acquisition, retention, or improvements of self-help skills related to activities of daily living, such as personal grooming and cleanliness, household chores, etc. These services are provided at the person's place of residence.
