Organizations Filed Purposes: THE LOUIS S. WOLK JCC OF GREATER ROCHESTER IS DEEPLY ROOTED IN AND COMMITTED TO CELEBRATING JEWISH TRADITIONS AND VALUES. WE WELCOME THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE TO JOIN TOGETHER FOR EXCEPTIONAL EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES THAT ESTABLISH LIFELONG CONNECTION AND ENHANCE OUR INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE WELL-BEING.

AS A HEALTH, WELLNESS AND PHYSICAL FITNESS FACILITY THE JCC IS ONE OF THE LARGEST FITNESS FACILITIES IN THE GREATER ROCHESTER AREA RANKED BY THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS. THE 155,000 SQUARE FOOT FACILITY HOUSES AN OLYMPIC-SIZED INDOOR SWIMMING POOL; A FAMILY AND THERAPEUTIC POOL; A SPASH POOL FOR CHILDREN; INDOOR TRACK; FULL GYMNASIUM; YOUTH PLAY GYM FOR CHILDREN 2 TO 10; VIRTUAL GYM AND CARDIO ROOM FOR YOUTH AGES 6 TO 14; STUDIOS FOR YOGA, DANCE AND PILATES, PHYSICAL THERAPY, AND MASSAGE THERAPY; RACQUET BALL COURTS; CARDIO AND STRENGTH TRAINING FACILITIES; MEN'S AND WOMEN'S SPAS; AND OUTDOOR TENNIS COURTS AND BALL FIELDS. MORE THAN 100 GROUP FITNESS CLASSES ARE OFFERED EACH WEEK FOR ADULTS. IN ADDITION, A VARIETY OF CLASSES AND LESSONS ARE OFFERED TO CHILDREN OF ALL AGES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR INCLUDING RED CROSS CERTIFIED SWIMMING LESSONS. THE JCC HAS FORMED A STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH ROCHESTER REGIONAL HEALTH, WHICH HAS A SATELLITE OFFICE LOCATED WITHIN THE JCC. THIS NEW PARTNERSHIP IS CREATING HOLISTIC HEALTH & WELLNESS PROGRAMS AND SERVICES FOR OUR MEMBERS. ALL HEALTH & WELLNESS PROGRAMMING WAS SHUT DOWN ON MARCH 14, 2020 DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.

CHILDREN AND YOUTH PROGRAM (UNDUPLICATED PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS APPROXIMATELY 2,000, INCLUDING MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS)THE JCC INCORPORATES SOCIAL, EDUCATIONAL, CULTURAL AND FITNESS PROGRAMMING INTO AFTER-SCHOOL CARE AND SUMMER CAMPING EXPERIENCES. THE AFTER SCHOOL CARE PROGRAM AT THE JCC SERVES THE NEEDS OF FAMILIES WITH SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN IN KINDERGARTEN THROUGH SIXTH GRADE. JCC'S AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM IS A BRIDGE (GESHER) BETWEEN HOME AND SCHOOL, WITH AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES AND CLASSES, RECREATION PROGRAMS, AND SCHOOL VACATION PROGRAMS. THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH JEWISH FAMILY SERVICES, THE CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS NOW FOCUS ON INCLUSION AND ACCESSIBILITY.THE JCC SOLD MARKUS PARK (FORMER HOME TO CAMP SISOL) AND CREATED JCC DAY CAMP ON THE 1200 EDGEWOOD AVENUE PROPERTY IN SUMMER 2019. THIS NEW DAY CAMP, GROUNDED IN JEWISH VALUES AND CULTURE, SERVED OVER 250 CHILDREN THROUGHOUT ITS FIRST SUMMER. JCC DAY CAMP PROGRAMMING HELPS CHILDREN AGE 5 THROUGH 13 EXPERIENCE BOUNDLESS ADVENTURE AND BUILD LIFELONG FRIENDSHIPS. ACTIVITIES INCLUDE NATURE, ATHELTICS, MUSIC, ARTS & CRAFTS, SWIMMING, AND MORE. IN ADDITION, DAY CAMP OFFERS CHILDREN WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN ITS PROGRAM IN AN INCLUSIVE SETTING. CAMP SENECA LAKE IS THE JCC'S OVERNIGHT CAMP SERVING CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 8 AND 16 FOR MORE THAN 80 YEARS. LOCATED ON MORE THAN 200 ACRES ON SENECA LAKE IN WESTERN, NY, CSL IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING A WHOLESOME JEWISH CAMP COMMUNITY DEDICATED TO DEVELOPING THE PHYSICAL, SOCIAL, AND EMOTIONAL IDENTITIES OF ITS CAMPERS. CAMPERS EXPERIENCE A BALANCED PROGRAM OF GROUP AND INDIVIDUAL ACTIVITIES LED BY A MATURE AND SKILLED STAFF. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED WHILE PROVIDING CAMPERS AN EXCITING AND FUN-FILLED SUMMER IN A BEAUTIFUL LAKEFRONT SETTING, CREATING MEMORIES AND FRIENDSHIPS THAT WILL LAST A LIFETIME. IN ADDITION TO DAY CAMP AND CAMP SENECA LAKE, THE JCC OFFERS SPECIALTY CAMPS FOR CHILDREN AGE 8 THROUGH 15 AND PREMIER SOCCER CAMP FOR CHILDREN AGE 7 TO 15. BOTH CAMPS OFFER AN ALTERNATIVE TO TRADITIONAL, NATURE-BASED CAMPING PROGRAMS.

EARLY CHILDHOOD (UNDUPLICATED PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS OF ROUGHLY 200, INCLUDING MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS). THE WOLK CENTER CLOSED DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON MARCH 14, 2020 AND DID NOT REOPEN ITS DOORS UNTIL JUNE 8, 2020. SIGNIFICANT SAFETY AND SANITATION PROTOCOLS WERE IMPLEMENTED TO OPERATE THE CENTER.THE JCC WOLK CHILDREN'S CENTER PROVIDES AN ACCREDITED FULL-DAY AND PART-TIME EARLY CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCE FOR CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 8 WEEKS AND 5 YEARS. THE PROGRAM OFFERS A RICHLY VARIED CURRICULUM THAT ENCOURAGES INTELLECTUAL CURIOSITY, BUILDS SELF-CONFIDENCE. COMPLEMENTING OUR DAILY CORE PROGRAM, CHILDREN HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN A VARIETY OF ENRICHED PROGRAMMING, INCLUDING MUSIC, SCIENCE, PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND AQUATICS. FAMILIES FROM ALL BACKGROUNDS ENJOY CULTURAL, RECREATIONAL, SOCIAL, EDUCATIONAL AND JUDAIC PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AT THE JCC.
