Project Support - The Junior League of Rochester is committed to helping all women achieve their potential, and improving the lives of women and children in our community. In the 2019-2020 year, the Junior League of Rochester continued operations of the only diaper bank in the Rochester area. Responsibilities include collecting, wrapping, and distributing tens of thousands of diapers to approximately 40 non-profit agency and social worker partners, as well as coordinating with drop off sites and diaper drives. This past year the JLR distributed over 214,000 diapers to those in need in our community. (Continued on Schedule O)We have been able to continue our monthly distribution during the COVID-19 pandemic, when our neighbors are gravely in need, and maintained an average monthly distribution of over 21,000 diapers. We see this need in our community and we continue to meet it each month thanks to the support and hard work of our members. In addition to taking on the Diaper Bank, the JLR continued to partner with various community agencies across Rochester, including Chrysalis Home, Cameron Community Ministries, Foodlink, Center for Youth, and Partners Ending Homelessness. 29 members volunteered 132 hours through 7 community service opportunities. Volunteer events covered organizing at Chrysalis House, a Community Baby Shower at Cameron Community Ministries, distribution preparation at Foodlink, and a painting night at Center for Youth. The Point in Time Homeless County had 8 volunteers provide 38 hours. This program is supported by contributions.

Volunteer Training and Education - Through the Organization's main program areas, the Organization is committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
