The mission of the Rochester Academy Charter School (RACS) is to provide students with rigorous, challenging academics through hands-on, meaningful learning opportunities that will provide students with the skills necessary to be successful academically, socially, and emotionally.
Provide students in grades K-2 and six through twelve with rigorous, challenging academics.
REGULAR EDUCATION: The School curriculum is focused on mathematics and sciences. The School also integrates multi-cultural themes into the curriculum through not only geography and foreign languages but through each subject area. All courses align with the New York State Learning Standards.In addition the school generated $714,518 in government contributions included on form 990, Page 9, Part VIII, line 1e.
SPECIAL EDUCATION: The School is open to all children and does not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, national origin, gender, disability, or any other grounds that would be unlawful or deny the civil rights of any individual. In accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, the Rehabilitation Act, and Section 504, and the Americans with Disabilities Act, the School provides a free and appropriate education, in the least restrictive environment to students with disabilities. The primary service delivery for students with special needs is inclusion.
