The Organization owns and operates the 24-bedroom Ronald McDonald House and the 7-bedroom House Within the Hospital. Both facilities provide temporary lodging to families of ill or injured children under the age of 21. The Westmoreland House is in close proximity to Strong Memorial Hospital and the House Within the Hospital is physically located within the hospital. The Organization also operates a 1,000 square foot Ronald McDonald Family Room, located on the first floor of the hospital. In 2019, the Houses provided a total of 8,870 family nights, which includes multiple stays for some families. The Ronald McDonald Family Room had over 52,000 visits. The Organization also operates a family lounge at Rochester General Hospital, which had 1,042 visits in 2019; (Continued on Schedule O) A mental health and wellness lounge at the Department of Psychiatry at Strong Memorial Hospital, which had 1,619 visits; An outpatient comfort cart at Strong Memorial Hospital, which provided over 12,000 health snack bags to pediatric patients and their families. Funds are solicited through a variety of fundraising initiatives.
