SUPERVISED RESIDENCES OFFER 24/7 SUPPORT TO MEET EACH PERSON'S NEEDS WHILE HELPING THEM ACHIEVE GREATER PERSONAL INDEPENDENCE.COMMUNITY LIVING(RESIDENTIAL SERVICES & SELF DIRECTED SERVICES):COMMUNITY HABILITATIONSTARBRIDGE OFFERS ONE-ON-ONE SUPPORT TO ADULTS AND YOUNG ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES IN INCREASING OR MAINTAINING INDEPENDENCE. FAMILY ADVOCACY:INDEPENDENT PARENT ADVOCACY NETWORK (IPAN)PROVIDES A CONTINUUM OF SERVICES (TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, ADVOCACY, WORKSHOPS, FAMILY EMPOWERMENT TRAINING SERIES, THE BRIDGE NEWSLETTER) TO ASSIST PARENTS AND FAMILIES OF INDIVIDUALS WITH I/DD LIVING AT HOME TO INCREASE OPPORTUNITIES FOR APPROPRIATE EDUCATION, SUPPORTS AND SERVICES.TOURETTE ADVOCACY AND SUPPORTASSISTS FAMILIES OF CHILDREN WITH TOURETTE SYNDROME AND SIMILAR NEUROLOGICAL ISSUES TO ACCESS APPROPRIATE EDUCATIONAL SUPPORTS AND SERVICES THROUGH INFORMATION AND REFERRAL, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, ADVOCACY, AND WORKSHOPS.FAMILY REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM (FRP)REIMBURSEMENT FOR GOODS AND SERVICES RELATED TO AN INDIVIDUAL'S DISABILITY. LEADS TO POSITIVE OUTCOMES IN AREAS OF HEALTH, SAFETY, EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING, NORMALIZATION OF LIFE, ACCESSIBILITY TO NEEDED SERVICES, AND PERSONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE INDIVIDUAL.PUBLIC EDUCATIONWORKS WITH SCHOOLS, ORGANIZATIONS, AND COMMUNITY GROUPS TO BUILD CAPACITY FOR COMMUNITY INCLUSION OF INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES.MONROE COUNTY ADVOCACYINDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES WILL INCREASE THEIR ACCESS TO SERVICES THROUGH INFORMATION, REFERRALS AND ADVOCACY.CREATING A LIFE AFTER HIGH SCHOOLEDUCATIONAL SERIES TO HELP STUDENTS WITH I/DD IN MONROE COUNTY AND THEIR FAMILIES TO DEVELOP THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS NEEDED TO PLAN FOR TRANSITION FROM HIGH SCHOOL.GENESEE FAMILY ADVOCACYFAMILIES OF CHILDREN WITH I/DD LIVING AT HOME IN GENESEE & ORLEANS COUNTIES WILL HAVE IMPROVED QUALITY OF LIFE THROUGH ACCESS TO APPROPRIATE EDUCATION FOR THEIR CHILDREN.PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, WORKSHOPS & CONFERENCESINCREASE THE CAPACITY OF COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO INTERACT WITH AND INCLUDE INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES.TOGETHER INCLUDING EVERY STUDENT (TIES)CREATES INCLUSIVE SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES BY INCLUDING PEOPLE WITH I/DD IN ALL ACTIVITIES. STUDENTS WITH I/DD ARE PAIRED WITH TRAINED STUDENT VOLUNTEERS TO PARTICIPATE IN EXTRACURRICULAR AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES OF THEIR CHOICE, INCLUDING DRUMMING CIRCLES.
