THE MISSION OF THE FRANKLIN COMMUNITY CENTER IS TO WORK COLLABORATIVELY WITH INDIVIDUALS AND OTHER AGENCIES TO PROVIDE SERVICES THAT WILL IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE AND FOSTER A SENSE OF NEIGHBORHOOD, COMMUNITY AND FAMILY FOR ALL PEOPLE.
Franklin Community Center also operates and host many other community programs. The organization operates a food pantry, which services local individuals and families in need. Other programs include holiday assistance, a furniture distribution program, which provides local families in need access to donated furniture items. The organization also offers free clothing and household items to people in need, and also is a coats for kids site.Accomplishments Include:The food pantry was visited 3,772 times by local residents. 500 indivuals a month were served at the free storeProvided 265 children with school supplies, 120 children with Halloween costumes and gave Christmas gifts to over 600 Local children.144 furniture matches were madeServed 497 children for Christmas and provided 77 Halloween CostumesProvided school supplies for 394 students
PROJECT LIFT: PREVENTS JUVENILE DELIQUENCY BOOSTS SELF-ESTEEM FOR YOUTHS AGES 6-11 and TEEN VOLUNTEERS AGES 16-21 THROUGH EDUCATION AND CONSTRUCTIVE ACTIVITIES. Accomplishments include: 203 Participants served, & 158 families serviced222 weeks of summer camp scholarships provided to Project Lift participantsExpanded into all six of the Saratoga Springs City Elementary Schools
