ARTS CENTER AND THEATRE OF SCHENECTADY, INC. ("ACTS") IS A PERFORMING ARTS FACILITY AND REGIONAL CULTURAL SERVICE PROVIDER. IN 2019, IT HOSTED 771 EVENTS ACROSS 2,816 PERFORMANCES, WITH 245,466 TICKETED PATRONS. ITS MISSION: THROUGH ARTS AND COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP, TO BE A CATALYST FOR EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION, SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND RICH CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE GREATER CAPITAL REGION. FROM TOURING BROADWAY PRODUCTIONS TO INTIMATE CONCERTS, FROM GRADUATIONS AND SPELLING BEES TO THE WINTER FARMER'S MARKET, PROCTORS IS A HAVEN FOR ARTS AND COMMUNITY EVENTS OF ALL KINDS, A LIVING ROOM FOR THE REGION. IT PROVIDES HEATING AND COOLING TO MOST OF THE DOWNTOWN BLOCK. AND IT ALSO PROVIDES A CULTURAL SERVICE PLATFORM FOR OTHER ORGANIZATIONS, INCLUDING TICKETING SERVICES AND ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS FOR NEIGHBORING ARTS ORGANIZATIONS.
