ISRAEL PROGRAM: Syracuse Hillel seeks to provide every Jewish student with the opportunity to explore and build an enduring relationship with Israel. Syracuse Hillel offers a number of different opportunities to connect with Israel including, but not limited to: Birthright Israel: Birthright is a free 10-day trip to Israel where you explore Israel, experience the culture and make lifelong friends! Syracuse Hillel offers trips during winter break and after the semester ends in May. We have suspended our winter 2020-2021 trip, but hope to host a summer 2021 trip. Perspectives Trip to Israel and the West Bank: Perspectives is Syracuse Hillel's leadership journey to Israel and the West Bank. The purpose of this program is to educate emerging and current SU undergraduate student leaders about the region, shining an intentional light on the nuances of life there, in an immersive and experiential way. Israel Learning Fellowship: ILF is Hillel's 10-week learning fellowship designed for students who are curious about the ""Jewish state"" and/or passionate about it! If you want to learn or share knowledge about Israel's history, culture, diversity, ethos, myths and much more, apply to the fellowship. Orange for Israel: OFI is SU's pro-Israel student group on campus. AIPAC Policy Conference Syracuse Delegation: Each year, a delegation from Syracuse Hillel joins the more than 3,600 students from over 630 campuses at the AIPAC Policy Conference. The conference is a unique opportunity to hear from the world political leaders and renowned experts in the field.

FRESH FEST: FreshFest is the largest pre-orientation program at Syracuse University, hosted by Syracuse Hillel. Students that sign up for FreshFest will have access to: Early Move-in: participants move in to their residence halls the Monday before regular move-in. Two Days of Programming: participate in two days of activities that help them get acclimated to campus. Past activities have included field trips to the New York State Fair and Dave & Busters, Greek Life panel, study abroad panel, ultimate frisbee, and a welcome breakfast in the Dome for participants and their families. Tailored Mentorship: are paired with a returning student mentor. Mentors represent a wide variety of majors, have lived in almost every residence hall, hail from across the country, and are incredibly involved in the Orange community. More importantly, they are all leaders on campus and at Hillel and are there to answer questions, to a guide to SU life, and build an enduring relationship with participants. FreshFest is a great way to meet other incoming students and returning students before the academic year begins.

SHABBAT: Syracuse Hillel hosts weekly Shabbat services at 5:30 PM on Fridays followed by a delicious kosher meal.
