The mission of BTI is to function as a not-for-profit organization that is recognized as a community leader in entrepreneurial and educational services aimed at positive results through changing individuals' behaviors. (Continued on Schedule O)BTI is a community based organization that provides innovative and quality programs and services to promote self-help for youth, parents, entrepreneurs, families, and the community at large. BTI helps people meet the most basic and critical needs while improving their ability to become self-supporting.

Women's Business Center - This program provides local, regional and outreach activities in 29 counties plus small business services and other business related activities to the target population of women who want to start-up their own business or expand their existing business. The center conducts small business skills training programs, direct one-on-one counseling and ongoing technical assistance services, and other business related programs and services. This program is funded by government contributions that amounted to $143,821.
21st Century Community Learning Center - This program provides after-school activities for low performing students and their families in the Utica City School District (middle and high school level). Some of the activities provided include tutoring, teen parenting, active family learning series, career exploration, entrepreneurship, career and college bound, financial management, health and wellness, theater, drama and Performing Arts. This program is funded by government contributions that amounted to $971,760.
Extended Day - This program coordinates after-school programming for the Utica City School District (high school). Some after school activities that BTI provides are The Please Stand Up! Anti-Violence Programs, Tutoring and Career Education Programs. This program is funded by government contributions that amounted to $332,239.
