Education of children 3-5 years. There are two programs Nursery School and Universal Pre - K. The primary objective of both programs is kindergarten readiness.
To educate children three to five years old with two programs, Nursery School and Universal Pre K. Both programs strive to promote Kindergarten readiness.
The three year old Nursery School Curriculum is designed to meet developmentally age appropriate cognitive,social and behavioral objectives.A class of up to 12 children meets five times a week for 2.5 hours a day. Through special events fundraising money is raised to cover shortfalls in tuition so that no child is turned away due to inability to pay. The Nursery School staff provides Daycare services for both the Nursery School and the UPK Program.
UPK objectives are the same as above except age appropriate for four year olds. Six sessions of 15 - 18 students meets 5 days per week, 2.5 hours a day. The program is free to children who live in the Utica City School District and is funded by a grant through the Utica City School District.
