Organizations Filed Purposes:
The TechGrowth Ohio Fund is organized and operated exclusively for the benefit of, to perform the functions of, and to carry out the purposes of Ohio University. In furtherance of such purposes, the TechGrowth Ohio Fund operates in the furtherance of the advancement of technology, including, without limitation, to increase technology-based and/or other entrepreneurial commercialization ventures throughout southeast Ohio, with a focus on strategic technology-based sectors that offer economic development prospects for the region.
TECHGROWTH OHIO FUND is a venture fund that was borne out of the TECHGROWTH OHIO PROGRAM. The TECHGROWTH OHIO PROGRAM is an essential part of the entrepreneurship-related mission of the Voinovich School and research commercialization efforts of Ohio University.
TECHGROWTH OHIO FUND provides pre-seed capital funds to assist in the promotion of higher paying occupations, including high technology and new-economy careers, in the Southeast Ohio area. These careers will enhance the ability of the Southeast Ohio area to attract new industry and provide useful products and services that support economic growth, new jobs, and business expansion.
