Angels Guarding Youth Services, Inc. provides foster children with a safe, positive environment. The agency connects foster children with foster caregivers, who are are thoroughly screened and trained by the agency.
During the past year, Angels Guarding has provided services for over 150 children who have been displaced from their homes. Some children have been abandoned at the hospital with no other agency will to support them. These are children who have had traumatic experiences and have difficulties functioning in the community and school settings. An Exceptional Needs Program has been developed this program provides therapeutic services to approximately 10 of the children who have aspergers, autism, and other several mental health issues such as developmental delays, and fetal alcohol syndrome. Training and licensing has been provided to over 50 foster homes to provide quality compassionate care. Foster parents connected with Angels Guarding have adopted 40 of the children with exceptional needs. Angels Guarding was awarded Business of the Month from the City of Forest Park in July 2017, and has developed partnerships with Forest Park City Council, Police and Fire Departments, Winton Woods School Board, Hamilton County Sheriffs Department, and local businesses.
