Annapolis Coalition Mission is to improve the quality of life of individuals and communities by strengthening the effectiveness of all who work to prevent, treat, and support recovery from mental illness and substance use conditions.
During the past year the Annapolis Coalition has continued its work in the public interest to strengthen the nation's behavioral health workforce. In collaboration with the WICHE Mental Health Program, the Coalition completed its technical assistance to the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium regarding the revision of its Behavioral Health Aide competencies. The Coalition also continued its efforts as part of a team conducting the national evaluation of the federally funded Minority Fellowship Program, with a focus on the master's level fellowships that were launched under President's Obama's "Now is the Time" Initiative as a response to the Sandy Hook tragedy.
