Organizations Filed Purposes: OUR MISSION IS TO HELP CHILDREN DEVELOP THE ATTITUDES AND BEHAVIORS NECESSARY TO BECOME PRODUCTIVE, INDEPENDENT AND RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS THROUGH A SCHOOL-BASED, FAMILY CENTERED PROGRAM.

WITHROW'S FOUR-YEAR GRADUATION RATE OF 87.4% ON THE 2018-19 OHIO SCHOOL REPORT CARD (CLASS OF 2018) WAS FIFTH-HIGHEST AMONG 15 CINCINNATI PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOLS.FAMILIESFORWARD MAINTAINED ITS BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU "ACCREDITED CHARITY" STATUS FOR A 10TH CONSECUTIVE YEAR. THE AGENCY MEETS ALL 20 BBB STANDARDS FOR CHARITY ACCOUNTABILITY.FROM 2017-18 TO 2018-19, THE PERFORMANCE-INDEX SCORES IMPROVED AT BOND HILL ACADEMY OF MATH AND SCIENCE DISCOVERY (TO 71.48 FROM 62.568), CARSON (TO 72.708 FROM 69.515) AND HAYS-PORTER (TO 76.667 FROM 71.522), ACCORDING TO THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION'S SCHOOL REPORT CARDS. DURING CALENDAR YEAR 2019, 157 FAMILIESFORWARD VOLUNTEERS GAVE 3,736.5 HOURS OF THEIR TIME AT BOND HILL ACADEMY OF MATH AND SCIENCE DISCOVERY, CARSON SCHOOL AND HAYS-PORTER SCHOOL. AT WITHROW UNIVERSITY HIGH SCHOOL, 134 STUDENTS REPORTED 4,787 HOURS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE, PLUS 25 PEOPLE VOLUNTEERED FOR OUR ADOPT-A-CHILD PROGRAM, RECORDING AT LEAST 345 HOURS. THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS! YOU ARE CRITICAL IN HELPING US FULFILL OUR MISSION. FAMILIESFORWARD'S SERVICES WERE AVAILABLE TO 2,624 ENROLLED STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES AT OUR FOUR SCHOOLS IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2018-19. THE AGENCY SERVED 1,430 STUDENTS THROUGH DIRECT ASSISTANCE OR IN THE AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM, IN WHICH 977 STUDENTS WERE ENROLLED AT SOME POINT DURING THE YEAR.ATTENDANCE RATES AT THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS WE SERVE RANGED FROM 84% TO 92.2%.THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE KIDS CAFE PROJECT, OPERATED BY THE FREESTORE FOODBANK, FAMILIESFORWARD SERVED 24,605 DINNERS IN THE AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM AND PROVIDED 5,880 POWER PACKS (BAGS OF ABOUT A DOZEN FOOD ITEMS FOR THE WEEKEND) IN CALENDAR YEAR 2019 AT OUR FOUR AFTER-SCHOOL SITES. WE ALSO PROVIDED 24,216 SNACKS IN COLLABORATION WITH CINCINNATI PUBLIC SCHOOLS.OVERALL, 96.5% OF AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM STUDENTS AT ALL OF OUR SITES ACHIEVED GRADE-LEVEL PROMOTION IN 2018-19.WITH AN INVESTMENT OF $567 A CLIENT, FAMILIESFORWARD ENSURED THAT ITS FOUR OUTCOMES: CONFIDENT & CAPABLE CHILDREN; STRONG, NURTURING, INVOLVED FAMILIES; SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS; AND ENGAGED, ACTIVE, AND SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITIES WERE SUCCESSFULLY DEMONSTRATED THROUGH THE 2,624 CHILDREN/FAMILIES ENROLLED AT OUR SCHOOLS.
