Coalition of Care of Greater Cincinnati exists to mobilize churches and to inspire volunteers to care for vulnerable children and fragile families.
Safe Families. Our Safe Families ministry provides short term Biblical hospitality to vulnerable children whose parent ask for assistance while battling proverty, isolation and other forms of crisis. In 2019 the Safe Families ministry of Coalition of Care served by arranging hostings for 375 children for a total of over 3,000 nights. Safe Families offers vulnerable children a safe and nurturing home for a temporary period.
CarePortal. Our CarePortal ministry mobilizes volunteers to meet physical, tangible and financial needs of vulnerable children and fragile families in the local commuity, helping to prevent family crisis, disruption, and unnecessary foster custody CarePortal promotes family strengthening and assists those aging out of foster custody. In 2019, the CarePortal ministry of Coalition of Care served 681 children. The economic impact of this service totalled $274,094.
Care Communities. Our Care Communities ministry was created by Coalition of Care in 2019. Care Communities provides support around families who are fostering, adopting, hosting and providing kinship care for vulnerable children. This ministry helps to prevent distruptions in the lives of the children served. It also reduces the need to move children from home to home and enables longevity and sustainability to parents and grandparents of vulnerable children.
