THE CINCINNATI USA CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU IS AN AGGRESSIVE SALES, MARKETING, AND SERVICE ORGANIZATION. OUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY IS TO POSITIVELY IMPACT THE REGION'S AREA ECONOMY THROUGH CONVENTION, TRADESHOW AND VISITOR EXPENDITURES, AND PROVIDE QUALITY SERVICE TO OUR CLIENTS.
TO IMPACT THE CINCINNATI ECONOMY THROUGH CONVENTION, TRADE SHOW, AND VISITOR EXPENDITURES.
CONVENTION SALES CONTINUED TO BOOK LARGE AND SMALL MEETINGS, CONVENTIONS, AND TRADESHOWS TO CINCINNATI USA. THE CVB INCREASED SALES LEAD VOLUME BY 11 PERCENT AND INCREASED DEFINITE ROOM NIGHTS BOOKED BY 2 PERCENT OVER 2018, PROVIDING AN ECONOMIC IMPACT OF $165 MILLION THROUGHOUT THE REGION. DIRECT SALES EFFORTS INCLUDE NEW PARTNERSHIPS WITH HELMSBRISCOE AND CONFERENCE DIRECT, AS WELL AS CONTINUED PARTICIPATION AT INDUSTRY TRADE SHOWS, SALES MISSIONS, AND SITE VISITS TO INCREASE DESTINATION AWARENESS AND GENERATE FUTURE BUSINESS LEADS.THE CVB CONTINUED ITS INVESTMENT WITH THE NORTHERN KENTUCKY CVB IN THE GREATER CINCINNATI SPORTS CORP. WHICH DELIVERED 27,752 ROOM NIGHTS WITH ECONOMIC IMPACT OF OVER $23 MILLION.BY CONNECTING VISITORS AND LOCALS WITH OUR REGION'S DYNAMIC CULTURES, THE CVB, THROUGH ITS VIBE PLATFORM, IS EXPANDING ITS COMMITMENT TO PROMOTING DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION. VIBE'S MISSION EXPANDED INTO THE INDIAN, ASIAN AND LGBTQ COMMUNITIES BY ACTIVATING THE CINCINNATI REGION THROUGH EVENTS, A SPEAKERS SERIES AND CLIENT ENGAGEMENT. MANY OPPORTUNITIES WERE CREATED BY LEVERAGING HIGH-PROFILE EVENTS IN THE REGION.
THE CVB CREATED AND ACTIVATED A FULL CAMPAIGN DEVELOPED FROM THE REGIONAL POSITIONING EFFORTS THAT UNTIE THE CHAMBER, REDI, SOURCE CINCINNATI AND THE REGIONAL TOURISM NETWORK. THE CAMPAIGN INCLUDED STRATEGIC PLACEMENTS IN INDUSTRY-LEADING MEDIA AND DIGITAL ADVERTISING THAT GENERATED 2.9 MILLION IMPRESSIONS. WE ALSO CHARTED NEW MARKETING TERRITORY WITH INTERNATIONAL CAMPAIGNS AROUND THE CINCINNATI BENGALS GAME IN LONDON AND A NATIONALLY TELEVISED GAME OF THE U.S. MEN'S NATIONAL SOCCER TEAM.TO CAPITALIZE IN THE DESTINATION'S EVOLUTION, CINCINNATI USA LAUNCHED THE CINCY USA TOURISM AMBASSADOR (CTA) PROGRAM IN APRIL 2015 AS PART OF A NATIONWIDE, INDUSTRY-RECOGNIZED CERTIFICATION. OVER 1,400 FRONT-LINE WORKERS AND VOLUNTEERS HAVE BEEN TRAINED AND CERTIFIED IN THIS NATIONAL VISITOR EXPERIENCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE PROGRAM.IMPLEMENTED PROACTIVE STRATEGIES AND PROGRAMS TO CAPTURE COMPELLING REGION-WIDE STORYLINES AND DRIVE SIGNIFICANT POSITIVE EDITORIAL COVERAGE ABOUT CINCINNATI USA AMONG TOP-TIER NATIONAL MEDIA OUTLETS, INCLUDING WALL STREET JOURNAL, USA TODAY, FORTUNE, FORBES, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC TRAVELER, FODOR'S AND MORE. COMPLEMENTED POSITIVE MEDIA RESULTS WITH COMPREHENSIVE SOCIAL MEDIA AND STAKEHOLDER COMMUNICATIONS PROGRAMS TO DRIVE ENGAGEMENT OF LOCAL ADVOCATES AND AMPLIFY POSITIVE PLACEMENTS TO WIDER AUDIENCES. THE REGION ENJOYED 1.04 BILLION MEDIA IMPRESSIONS, EQUIVALENT TO MORE THAN $3 MILLION IN ADVERTISING SPACE.CINCINNATI USA CVB IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NORTHERN KENTUCKY CVB CONTINUED ITS INVESTMENT IN THE CINCINNATI USA REGIONAL TOURISM NETWORK, RETURNING $78 OF EVERY DOLLAR INVESTED IN TOURISM. CINCINNATIUSA.COM SAW 26.6 MILLION VISITORS IN 2017, WITH SPENDING OF $5 BILLION, AND SUPPORTING MORE THAN 80,000 JOBS.
ORGANIZATIONS MEETING IN THE CINCINNATI REGION DURING 2019 PRAISED OUR CONVENTION SERVICES TEAM'S RESPONSIVENESS, COMMITMENT TO SATISFACTION AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL. THE CVB ASSISTED CLOSE TO 150 MEETINGS, AND EARNED AN INCREDIBLE POST-CONVENTION SURVEY SCORE OF 98.8 OUT OF 100. WELCOMED GUESTS FROM 42 STATES AND 42 COUNTRIES IN THE CINCINNATI USA VISITOR CENTER IN 2019. THE CENTER WAS STAFFED WITH 80 ACTIVE VOLUNTEERS, WORKING MORE THAN 4,000 HOURS.
