Green Umbrella leads collaboration, incubates ideas and catalyzes solutions to create a resilient, sustainable region for all. We do this by convening member organizations and individuals to tackle policy and systems-level changes focused on healthy people, climate and landscape.
TRI-STATE TRAILS: A coalition of trail advocates, a physical network of trails, and a vision to connect our region. Tri-State Trails unites advocates, leaders and stakeholders in a collaborative discussion on active transportation and outdoor recreation in Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana.
REGIONAL FOOD POLICY COUNCIL: A regional collaborative council to promote a healthy, equitable and sustainable food system for all within Greater Cincinnati's 10-county region. Initiatives include a) a forum that brings together stakeholders from all segments of the food system to generate new relationships and share best practices, b) initiating research and recommending policies that increase food security in our communities, and c) advocating for food security through a regional food system development agenda at the city, county and regional level.
2030 DISTRICT: A member organization to create a network of healthy, high-performing buildings in Cincinnati with a collective commitment to reduce their buildings' energy use, water consumption and transportation emissions 50% by the year 2030.
