Organizations Filed Purposes: IJPC educates and advocates for peace, challenges unjust local, national. and global systems, and promotes the creation of a nonviolent society. The mission is accomplished by educating about immigrant rights to 1,200 people, advocating for death penalty reform with 150 people, and 770 people receiving eduation about human trafficking.

IJPC provides education and advocacy for peace and justice issues particularly the areas of the death penalty, human trafficking, immigration, and peace and nonviolence. Activities include: Rethinking Racism initiative, advocate to support immigrant DACA recipients.

Immigration-High school and college age immigrants and allies defended DACA through public rallies to show support for immigrant rights. The Youth Educating Society (YES) program trained their members in leadership, grassroots lobbbying, and sharing personal narratives. They provided interviews and quotes to local media covering stories about DACA. Staff and volunteers gave presentations to more than 1,200 people to dispel myths on immigration, IJPC joined lawsuit against the Ohio BMV for their discriminatory policies keeping US citizen children of undocumented parents from receiving their drivers'licenses or state IDs. IJPC collaborated with 30 local nonprofits, faith leaders, and commmunity leaders to facilitate the Immigrant Dignity Coalition sending regular email updates about national immigration news, community conerns about immigration, and stopping unjust deportations. 31 immigration events were held during the year with a total of 821 attendees, and 21 committee meetings occurred to strategize and organize together for comprehensive immigration reform.

Peace & Nonviolence-IJPC offered events and dialogue through its Rethinking Racism initiative to challenge the narrative on racism and seek racial equity. 571 people attended a variety of peace related events including Rethinking Racism, Nonviolence Trainings, Hiroshima and Nagasaki memorials, and opposition to the size of the military budget. The NonViolence Alliance of Greater Cincinnati is organized by IJPC and is committed to broadly sharing a common vision of a nonviolent and peaceful community, to create a radically inclusive and diverse alliance of individuals and organizations committed to create a more just and nonviolent community, and to educate themselves and the public about active nonviolence and to provide the opportunities to learn the skills necessary for living a nonviolent life and dismantling violent structures.

Human Trafficking: IJPC gave 16 presentations on human trafficking to identify red flags and help with prevention. 770 youth and adults in Greater Cincinnati benefited from this information. Monthly committee meetings were held to keep people updated, facilitate coalition building and shared purpose, and create space for intentional collaboration.
