To provide affordable, high-quality veterinary care to allow individuals and families of limited means to enjoy the benefits of healthy and responsible pet ownership.We believe that everyone deserves the joy of a pet and all pets deserve a loving home and quality veterinary care.
Affordable Routine Veterinary Care: Pets In Need provides comprehensive veterinary services for pet families with a household income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. Routine services include wellness and preventive care; treatment of acute conditions; diagnostic testing; management of chronic conditions such as diabetes; monthly flea and heartworm prevention; and compassionate end-of-life care. Enrollment for services is open to the entire Greater Cincinnati region, which includes 15 counties in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. As of 12/31/2020, there were 3,314 pets in 1,727 households enrolled and eligible to receive services. In 2020, 4,400 clinic visits were provided.
Affordable Advanced Veterinary Care: For pets needing more than routine care, PIN provides subsidized surgery and dental procedures in its new Advanced Care Suite or with referrals to private partner practices. In 2020, 79 dental treatments and 48 surgeries were completed.
Pets in Need requires all pets enrolled for services at its clinic be spayed or neutered. Subsidies are provided to reduce the cost to $20 for a cat surgery and $30 for a dog surgery
