The mission of Songfest is to promote the musical arts among college age musicians.
Songfest is a training program and festival for classical singers and pianists. It is considered to be the finest festival or art song in the United States. For Songfest 2019, held at The Colburn School in Los Angeles, there were 103 participants ranging in age from 18-32. They were from all the major music schools nationwide, and from Canada, South America, Germany and Asia. As part of the training program and festival, there were 15 free public concerts and 22 faculty employed.
