T Community Squash Center is an inclusive community representing diverse socioeconomic groups and backgrounds that fosters personal growth for people of all ages, supported by our core values of kindness, respect, and grit.
The T Squash Academy transitioned back to Volunteer-driven operational structure after a brief experience with an Executive Director. Furthermore, the T Squash Academy facility ownership transitioned to the Cincinnati Squash Academy, a Squash + Education Alliance(SEA) urban squash not-for-profit organization that uses the disciplined game of squash to help transform talented students in underserved communities into scholar-athletes, productive citizens, and future leaders with character on the path to and through college. The T Squash Academy now has an operating lease for the facility with the CSA and is now in the process of developing a combined hybrid Community Squash orientation that combines a focused urban squash education model in conjunction with the T Squash Academys junior squash excellence and membership program.
The T Squash Academy is the first publicly accessible site of instruction and competition for squash in Cincinnati. It was the first to host the Midwest Regional Junior Squash championships as well as the JCT the Junior Nationals, and have continued to host these and other reputed tournaments. The Junior Nationals, as an example, brought over 200 of the countrys best junior squash players to Cincinnati. This success and recognition has been built upon the high level squash education provided by our UK trained accomplished squash professionals Jon Geekie and Josh Saysell. Over time, our program has produced 20+ junior players with national rankings, remarkable achievements for a young organization in a sport dominated by East and West Coast programs, including several who are now graduated to varsity squash teams. 2020 was challenging year for the organization. The T Squash Academy continues to build upon its association and partnership with the Cincinnati Squash Academy in supporting their mission in helping inner city children through their educational journey, through volunteering, mentoring, and discounted instructional programs and summer camps. Current efforts are oriented towards developing joint hybrid community squash programs now aligned with US Squashs newly launched community initiative. The T Squash Academy is a community that includes a thriving adult population of squash players and parents that are actively engaged in the mission of the T.
