Organizations Filed Purposes: Distribution of Kosher food and other household items to meet the basic needs of financially vulnerable families and provide social services and other assistance to such families in order to further their financial stability.

Over the course of the fiscal year, the Chesed Center serviced 516 unique households, who reside in 37 zip codes in six counties, for a total of 2224 individuals whose incomes are below 200 of the FPIG Federal Poverty Guidelines. The clients are able to select from produce, proteins, shelf-stable food, cleaning products, personal care items, and other basic staples on a monthly basis- totaling approximately $450/visit for a family of four. In addition, we run an annual school supply distribution each August where children are given new school supplies, backpacks and uniforms. We also partner with another agency to provide five annual distributions of clothing and shoe gift cards at no cost. Another program is our large Passover distribution, where several hundred families each year are provided with food necessary to celebrate the holiday with dignity.

In addition to the no-cost food, household items, and gently used clothing distributed on an ongoing basis, the Chesed Center runs an annual clothing sale prior to the Passover holiday. Approximately 200 families benefited from the sale of select clothing items which were subsidized and sold below wholesale cost. Approximately 1100 items were sold
