THE MISSION OF CFACC IS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR EVERY CHILD SERVED THROUGH ADVOCACY, EDUCATION AND COLLABORATIVE ALLIANCE. CFACC APPROACHES CHILD ADVOCACY IN A UNIQUE WAY. CASAS AND GALS ARE ASSIGNED AS PARTNERS TO ADVOCATE FOR THE BEST INTERESTS OF CHILDREN IN A FAMILY, WHETHER ONE CHILD OR A SIBLING GROUP. THIS DUAL REPRESENTATION MODEL ENHANCES THE QUALITY OF ADVOCACY PROVIDED FOR CHILDREN IN THE JUVENILE COURT. BOTH THE CASA AND GAL BRING DIFFERENT SKILLS AND A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE; HOWEVER, EACH HAS ONE COMMON GOAL - PROVIDING THE HIGHEST QUALITY ADVOCACY FOR THE BEST INTERESTS OF EACH CHILD.
CFACC APPROACHES CHILD ADVOCACY IN A UNIQUE WAY, PROVIDING COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATE VOLUNTEERS (CASAS) WHO ARE ASSIGNED AS PARTNERS TO ADVOCATE FOR THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE CHILDREN IN A FAMILY, WHETHER ONE CHILD OR A SIBLING GROUP. EACH CASA VOLUNTEER BRINGS DIFFERENT SKILLS AND PERSPECTIVES; HOWEVER, EACH HAS ONE COMMON GOAL - PROVIDING THE HIGHEST QUALITY ADVOCACY FOR THE BEST INTERESTS OF EACH CHILD. DESPITE THE UNUSUAL PANDEMIC CONDITIONS POSED BY COVID-19 DURING 2020, CFACC CONTINUED TO IMPLEMENT A STRONG CHILD ADVOCACY MISSION, AND ACHIEVED THE FOLLOWING ORGANIZATIONAL METRICS: O RELOCATING THE AGENCY OUT OF THE LOCAL JUVENILE COURTHOUSE TO NEW OFFICES AT A NEARBY NONPROFIT CAMPUS O RETAINING AN ACTIVE VOLUNTEER BASE OF 81 VOLUNTEERS SERVING AN AVERAGE OF 85 CHILDREN ON A MONTHLY BASIS O ADAPTING THE ANNUAL PRE-SERVICE CASA TRAINING PROGRAM TO AN ALL-VIRTUAL REMOTE FORMAT USING ZOOM O RECRUITING AND TRAINING 20 NEW CASA VOLUNTEERS TO SERVE VULNERABLE CHILDREN O SIGNING NEW TWO-YEAR PROGRAM AND INFORMATION-SHARING AGREEMENTS WITH THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY JUVENILE COURT AND THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY DIVISION OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES OEXPANDING OUR CASA PROGRAM FOOTPRINT TO BEGIN SERVING CHILDREN IN THE COUNTY'S PERMANENT CUSTODY (PC) OCREATING AN ENTIRELY NEW WEBSITE TO SHOWCASE OUR CASA PROGRAM (@CFADVOCATES.ORG) OINCREASING OUR SOCIAL MEDIA ENGAGEMENT ON 4 PLATFORMS BY MORE THAN 25% OSECURING NEW GRANT FUNDING AND STRENGTHENING TIES TO MORE LOCAL FOUNDATIONS"
