Organizations Filed Purposes:
CCDC is committed to improving the quality of life in the city of Cleveland by strengthening its neighborhoods through assistance to businesses expanding within or relocating to the city of Cleveland. Assistance includes work force solutions including technical assistance with the purpose of maintaining or expanding and creating job opportunities for the citizens of Cleveland.
CCDC's purpose is to review and process grants, loans, tax incremental financing and provide other assistance to eligible businesses/others within the city of Cleveland. This assistance is designed to promote economic growth within the the city and to retain or increase employment within the city.
Cleveland Foundation grant Award to CCDC- This grant award program was for two distinct purposes. One was for software education to underserved eligible students. Expenses for this component was $160,902. The second component was to provide funds to investigate the critical factors that would indicate a "middle class neighborhood" would decline into a "low income area" Expenses for this component were $114,971 in 2020
Mayors Neighborhood Transformational Initiative- (MNTI)- Glenville Incubator program. This program had several components. The first component was designed to establish new businesses within the Glenville neighborhood area. Another component was to pay the city of Cleveland's master lease agreement amount for the Glenville project Incubator program. Total expense for both components was $920,548.
MNTI- Homeowner and Vacant Housing Rehabilitation - Glenville Neighborhood area. This component included two components. One component was for the rehabilitation of owner occupied homes to make the homes in compliance with city current housing codes and to remove unsafe conditions for homeowners. The second component was to renovate and repair vacant housing in the Glenville area so theses houses could be sold to new homeowners in the area. Total expense for both components was $700,777.
